No they don't, they are all a scam and only give a false sense of security . And things like garlic or essential oils and similar so called deterrents do not work either, studies have proven these theories false. all you are doing is injuring the snake or pissing it off.

Can I Identify a snake by its colors?

Not generally no, because snakes come in many different colors it's hard for the inexperienced person to be sure, Eastern brown snakes come in several colors and striped patters when they hatch and 50% will keep those juvenal colors into maturity . But only an experienced person can identify a snake at a glance so if you're unsure, give us a call, do not attempt to move the snake yourself.
